 We are thankful for the very special Grinch party planned by our room parents.  The supplies and volunteers sure made a day of magic for all the children in Room 204! Enjoy the spirit of the holidays with your families. The photo booth was a big hit.

growing, GrOwInG, GROWING

In kindergarten we have noticed repeating patterns, describing, extending and creating but this week explored growing patterns.  Did you know pattern recognition is said to have the highest correlation with general intelligence?  Patterns can be found in ideas, words, symbols, numbers, and images.  After creating growing patterns with a partner we did a "museum walk" around our room to learn from one another. Below are souvenir photos of our time at the museum.

A special thank you to those who donated supplies or time for our annual kindergarten feast with Mrs. Q's class.  The special cookies came from Austin and made a great afternoon snack.  Enjoy the time with your children over he holiday. I'm most blessed to interact and teach them daily.  Each holds a special place in my heart.

50 Days of learning 50 days of Fun

We danced 50's style and shared root beer floats.  Some kids even knew they are sometimes called black cows. What a fun snack.

Reader's Worshop-We are Readers!

 Each day we have 15 minutes of private reading.

Then we have 15 minutes of partnership reading time as well.

Back to back reading allows us privacy as we read.

Sometimes we can use a teacher voice to read to imaginary friends as well!
